The rational exploitation of resources in sea water and the respect of weak mechanisms regulating production need the knowledge of some factors contributing to the correct management of the marine environment. In this connection, the management of fish stocks is important, as the fishiness in marine waters and the consequent commercial exploitation of valuable fish depend greatly on the knowledge of water conditions and fish migration, as well as on food availability for fish maintenance and growth.
