Covid19 in Thalassemia patients
The Piera Cutino Association (Associazione Piera Cutino) - committed for over twenty years in the fight against hemoglobinopathies - on the occasion of the Thalassemia Day, which will take place next May 8th, asked several medical representatives of the Thalassemia Centres in Italy and elsewhere, to send a video interview in which they talk about the incidence of the COVID-19 pandemic in their country and in particular in their Thalassemia Centre.
Objectives:
- To understand if there has been a significant correlation of cases of infected people among patients;
- To understand how patients reacted to the pandemic;
- To verify if there were any particular problems related to COVID-19 in the management of the usual treatment of the patient
A first important overview of general interest with Thalassaemia and COVID-19 topics that we believe can be very useful. All videos will be published at: www.pieracutino.it.
