Barriers to the importation of medical products to Russia: in search of solutions
Abstract
Barriers to the importation of foreign medical products to Russia contribute to higher prices on the domestic market, which is a disadvantage for healthcare. Such barriers, valid also for the import of professional literature, resulted in persistence of some outdated concepts and methods in medicine. Policies promoting domestic medical products can result in their biased characterization in scientific reports. In conclusion, more international trust is needed for successful co-operation on the lawful basis and elimination of unfair practices in the interests of healthcare and medical research.Downloads
