Special Collection on Advancing Nursing Education and Practice for Future Global Health

Nurses are a profession that is integral to healthcare services. Quality healthcare services are highly anticipated by patients and their families, who require services provided with a touch of compassion and proficient skills. Nurses are also expected to not only provide services during illness but also during the recovery process. Nurses’ work needs recognition and support to improve the health and well-being of the community. Enhancing knowledge and skills can be applied in innovations created in nursing care. Innovations in nursing care, whether in education or service areas, aim to improve the healthcare services provided. It is a significant challenge for nurses to innovate in healthcare services now and in the future.

This Special Issue will cover a wide range of topics, including the following:

Sri Yona
Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia, Depok, Indonesia
Sri Yona is an associate professor at the Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing Department. She was graduated from Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Nursing, Bachelor Nursing in 1999. She then received scholarship from AusAID to continue her study in Flinders University, Adelaide, South Australia and graduated as Master of Nursing in 2005. She completed her doctoral degree at University of Illinois at Chicago, USA, in 2014. Her dissertation was about HIV-positive Indonesian female injection drug users in drug recovery. Sri Yona also did several research focuses on HIV, women with injected drug users, and adolescents’ reproductive health. She received several funded from Ministry of higher Education and has published several articles, from her research. Email: sriyona@ui.ac.id

Herni Susanti
Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia, Depok, Indonesia
Prof. Herni is a mental health professional who started her career since 1998 when she joined the Mental Health Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing Universitas Indonesia. Since then, she has been enthusiastic to satisfy her passion around the development of mental health in her country and worldwide. She is an experienced researcher and project manager with a strong focus on health and nursing in Indonesia. Currently, she leads and collaborates on various international health projects, notably in mental health, and is acting as a Co-Principal Investigator in the Global Health Research Group on Sustainable Treatment for Anxiety and Depression in Indonesia, funded by National Institute for Health and Care Research United Kingdom. Manuscript Submission Information
Prospective papers are invited to be submitted for original research papers, literature review papers (integrative/systematic), and case study papers. Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, interest, clarity, relevance, correctness, and presentation.

Manuscripts must be submitted online by registering and logging in, where also a guide for authors and other relevant information is available. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline (30th May 2025). Submitted manuscripts must neither have been published previously, nor simultaneously submitted for publication elsewhere. All submissions will pass pre-check by Editors and then will be peer-reviewed by anonymous reviewers. As soon as accepted, the papers will be published continuously and listed on the Special Issue website.

The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in the Special Issue is EUR 300.00 (plus 4% VAT, if applicable).
