Authors

The aim of this article is to discuss the importance of research for the development of the nursing profession, focusing specifically on the development and contribution of Emergency Department Nurses. A few examples of researches potentially relevant for the nursing profession are reported and briefly commented on, underlying the importance of the strict relationship between research, practice and education, and of the relevance of the research questions for the patients care and the improvement of practice.
